Chicagoland
Skydiving-Hinckley, IL.
We flew a missing-man formation for Sandy. This 19 way built faster than anything I've
ever seen! Thanks for putting this together. Doug

The DZ participated in a memorial jump for Sandy at 7 p.m. Central Time on
Saturday evening, August 1st 1998. The 19 way missing person formation completed smooth as
silk and was held in honor of Sandy - participants remarked on what a smooth flying fast
building formation it was. Sandy would have been proud.

At exactly 7pm CST 19 skydivers exited the Hinckley Otter (W/ camera) A five way base
was free flown and formed quickly. Diamonds were built on each base person and a tail slot
on one diamond was left open for Sandy. She was there!! The dive was complete by 9000 and
held till 4500. Everyone had a great time and all agreed it was the best dive of the day!
Thank You from everyone here at Hinckley for letting us be a part of this wonderful
skydiving tribute. Pictures will follow...
